I've been in the industry for 18 years now, being licensed in all lines of insurance.  I started working at New Frontier with my father, Merlyn, in 2000 after spending close to 20 years in the agriculture and manufacturing industry with Lind-Gubbels Inc. in Osmond.

I was born and raised in Osmond and after graduation attended Northeast Community College and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  I moved back to Osmond and have worked and served in our community since.

Today, I write all lines of insurance and work very closely with our crop insurance lines.  I live in Osmond and I'm active in the fire department, serving for 25 years- President the last 7.  I'm a member of the Osmond Community Club, Osmond Venture Resources, Immanuel Lutheran Church, and have donated time in the Osmond Summer Youth Programs.

2019 will be my sixth year in the crop insurance industry.  I started working at New Frontier during my junior year at Wayne State College and transitioned to a full-time employee my senior year.  While working at New Frontier, I graduated with my Bachelor's in Business Administration with a concentration in Management in 2015.  I'm currently taking Ag Business and Agronomy classes at Purdue University.

I took interest right away in crop insurance and worked on getting licensed while in college.  Working at New Frontier allowed me to learn a lot about the crop insurance industry and allowed me to build relationships with a lot of the customers I work with today.

Today, I'm a full-time crop insurance specialist with our agency.  I work with farmers on risk management strategies that are catered specifically to their farming operations and their goals.  I handle crop insurance sales, quoting, claims, and process crop insurance data.  I also created this website and work with Brianna with our drones, social media, and tech work in the office.

I live in Osmond today with my wife Leah, who is a Kindergarten teacher at Osmond Community Schools.  I also serve on our volunteer fire department and as an EMT on Osmond's rescue squad. I'm a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Osmond.  In my free time I enjoy hunting, golfing, working out, and spending time with family and friends.

Jodi Timmerman

I was raised on a farm and graduated high school from Wausa, Nebraska.  I went on to receive my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Midland Lutheran College known today as Midland University.  I married a local farmer, Michael Timmerman, where we lived on a farm near McLean and raised cattle and hogs.  Currently we have no animals and are strictly row crop farmers.  I have been a licensed property and causalty insurance agent for seventeen years.

My insurance career began with an agency in Norfolk NE.  I had an opportunity to come back to the small town and have been working in Osmond ever since.  I enjoy working with the local community and keeping in touch with my insured clientele.  I don't have much time for hobbies but enjoy our grandchildren as much as possible.  My future plans are to continue to support our local community and to provide the best customer service possible for our clientele.

Brianna Schmit

I was born and raised on a farm west of Osmond.  Agriculture has been in my blood since I was little and I still continue to help on the farm.  I graduated from Osmond Community Schools in 2013.  I attended Northeast Community College and received my Associates in Agribusiness in 2015.  I then transferred to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received my Bachelor's in Agricultural Economics and a minor in Animal Science in 2017.

I took an interest to crop insurance when I transferred to UNL because of the relationship that you have with farmers.  I have been at New Frontier since June, 2018.  I am a licensed Crop Insurance agent and also have my Livestock Risk Protection license.  As of now I help with sales, data processing, marketing, and help Garret with the website, social media, and tech in the office.

This summer has been an exciting one to say the least!  I began my career at New Frontier and have learned a lot so far with the storms that have came through the area.  I also got married in August.  My husband, Chris Schmit, farms with his dad and uncle on their family farm east of Osmond.  We live together on a farm in rural Osmond.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, golfing, playing sports, and boating and camping.
